Day 50- Jonathan's mate

This is Jonathan's mate. I really don't much about her. I don't even know her name. All I know is that when I was walking up to them she was stalking me and I'm sure she was thinking what a good meal I'd make! LOL!! I only took one picture of her because she made me feel uneasy! LOL!

Day 49- Jonathan

This is Jonathan. He lives at the Houston Zoo and use to be someones pet. I got a picture of him this morning before the zoo opened. He was just relaxing waiting for breakfast!

Day 48- Blooming Christmas Cactus!!!!

It finally bloomed after all these years!!! Whoo-hoo!!! I'm guessing maybe it's an Easter Cactus and not a Christmas Cactus. I moved it to a sunny window and before I knew it there was a bloom!!!!I'm so excited!

Day 47- Jiggs eye

I decided to share a picture with you that we have framed in our living room.

This is a picture I took of my dogs eye right when we got the new camera. We liked it so much that we decided to blow it up to 8x10 and frame it. It sits on top of our desk in the living room. We have had so many questions and comments about it that I wanted to share it with you all!

Day 46- Lizard

This is a little lizard I saw on my porch today. We have these all over the place. I'm not sure what they are called but they do change colors to match their background. They must be some sort of chameleon.

Day 45- Serenity of the beach

This was a picture I took while at the beach about a month ago. I really loved how it turned out. It is such a peaceful and relaxing picture.

Day 44- Dragonfly

This is a picture of a dragonfly that was in my garden last summer. I zoomed in on him and think he is so cool looking. He was really pretty and red! I had never seen a red one before!

Day 43- Sleepy Dog

Day 42- Signs of spring?

I think we still have a month of winter left but some of the trees around here are putting on new leaves already! I love when the new leaves come out. They are such a pretty color of green!

Day 41- Kitchen Drawer

Please tell me I'm not the only one who has a messy utensil drawer!!! Most of it was given to me by my mom when I moved out about 12 years ago!! She laughs at me for still having most of it, but I tell her if it's not broken why spend money to replace it!!!

Day 40- Buzz, buzz, buzz

I found this little guy inside my living room window today. I had to take a picture of him before I let him go! I find bee's inside my house all the time but I don't know where they come from. I mean I know how they get in because I have my backdoor open a lot. I wonder if there is a little hive around someplace.

Day 39- My bougainvillea

I just love these plants. This is my new one. The color is so vivid and really brightens up my flower bed. I have it in the center and need to figure out something to put up so I can train it. These things get really big and I and I can't wait!!

Day 38- Frog

This is a picture I took a few months ago. This frog was living in one of my flower pots. One day I decided to use him for a photo shoot. He was very cooperative and I got lots of good pictures of him. Isn't he cute!

Day 37- Happy Valentine's Day

These are the beautiful roses Nathan gave me for Valentine's Day/Anniversary! A dozen red and a dozen peach! Aren't they beautiful!!! Today makes 15 years for us!!!! Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Day 36- Zoo Trip

I went to the zoo today and just had to share some of my fav. pictures with you!! I LOVE the zoo. Everyone thinks I'm crazy but I could go there everyday!!! I never get tired at looking at these cute faces!!!!!

Day 35- My Walking Path

I decided to show where I go walking. There is a nice little park in the back of my neighborhood that I walk to. It has a little gravel path and think once around it is only like 1/4 of a mile. I walk down to the park go once around the path then come back home. My total walking distance ends up to just over a mile. I really like walking, it's relaxing and peaceful plus I get some great photos while outside!!!

Day 34- Flowers

This is a plant I bought last year because I loved the color of the flowers. When Hurricane Ike came through I had stuck it in the garage and forgot it was in there. When I finally remembed it looked half dead. I brought it back out and watered it and about a week later new leaves started sprouting! Now it's in full bloom! Isn't it pretty!!!

Day 33- Mushrooms

This picture reminds me of the Smurfs! LOL!!! I took it today while out walking. We had a little bit of rain yesterday but it was enough to make the mushrooms grow. We are about 4" behind in rain so any rain we get helps!

Day 32- Squirrel

I have a couple bird feeders in my front yard and this little squirrel comes and sits on the fence almost everyday and watches the birds. After a while he finally decided to go on over and scare them off and have the feeders to himself! I took this picture from my living room window. I had to be sneaky so I wouldn't' scare him away.

Day 31- Finised baby booties

Here are the finished baby booties that I made for my soon to be niece! My SIL loved them so I was happy about that. One of her friends tried to show me up by crocheting a baby blanket! Can you believe! LOL!! I'm going to have to knit a little baby sweater now, I can't be out done by a friend!

Day 30- Sunset

Here is another sunset picture. This was taken last night as the clouds were rolling in. It never did rain but it sure made for a great picture!! This was taken standing on my deck in the backyard.

Day 29- Moon in the daytime!

I have been working out in the yard the past few days and yesterday afternoon I looked up and saw the moon and thought hey,, that would be a neat picture! I took it standing under my pine tree in the front yard.

Day 28- My helper

Ok, ok, ok....I know you might be saying not another dog picture but he's so cute I can't help myself! LOL!! Today I was working in my flower beds and Jiggs decided to help me out! He was digging up a root for me and got dirt all over his nose and head. I think he was having more fun then actually helping!

Day 27- Fresh Bread

Too bad this isn't scratch and sniff!!! I made some bread and boy does it make the house smell good!!! I love fresh bread, it just taste so much better then store bought. I had this bread machine given to me about 8 years ago by a lady that Nathan works with. She bought it and then never used it. I think she used it once. I've used it a ton and just love it!!!

Day 26- Finished!

The painters came yesterday and finished the outside of the house!! I'm so happy with it. I think it turned out really great and I am happy to have it done finally!!! Whoo-Hoo!! Next on the list is to replace the chimney we lost during Hurricane Ike. If you look up at the roof on the right side you can see where it use to be....right now it has plastic and duck tape all over it to keep the water out of the house!!!

Day 25- Pumping Gas

This is one of those chores that's easy but I still hate doing it! It's just one of those things like laundry, has to be done but isn't fun! I was out and about today and had to stop for gas and figured I might as well take a photo!!

Day 24- Poker Night

Once or twice a month some friends come over and we play poker. As you can see we only play for change. The most we allow to bet is 25 cents. It's pretty fun because it playing with change and there isn't any stress in it.This is a picture of one of the pots that was won, not by me, but by a friend.
