Day 63- Petunia

The glorious color of flowers!!! This is the inside of a petunia. I took it at my brothers house. I just love all the different colors in it!

Day 62- Rain, rain........

Yippee for rain!!! We have been so far behind in rain that it's nice to finally get some! It has been raining here for the past three days. This was a photo of the rain that had collected on my rose bush! I'm sure it's happy for the rain too!

Day 61- Baby Feet!

My new little baby niece was born yesterday!!! Today I went to the hospital and took some pictures and I thought this would make a great picture for the day!!!

Day 60- Bobby Bob

This Bobby Bob. He is a 19 year mandrill. In the wild they live to be around 20 but in captivity their life span is 25-30 years old. Today he was really showing off for everyone!

Day 59- Solaris

This is Solaris and his dad, Doc. Solaris is a five year old Bornean Orangutan. His dad is under the blanket! They all love to cover their heads ups. Today he was really getting on his dad's nerves and his dad kept pushing him down. Little Solaris just kept getting up and doing it all over again. He doesn't know how to take no for an answer! LOL!! Sound like any 5 years you know!!!

Day 58- Inside of flower

You are likely to see a ton more of these from me. All the wild flowers are starting to bloom and there are photos opps every where I look. I absolutely love the way this one turned out!!!

Day 57- Bee in motion

I was lucky enough to get this shot today. I was at my brother's and there were all these bee's in their bushes. I just sat there and waited until one landed and I was able to get this great photo!!

Day 56- Just me

This is a picture that Nathan took of me. We were in downtown and he wanted to take pictures. We were walking back to our vehicle and I told him to take a pic of me looking up at him in the mirror. So he took a picture of the mirror hanging on the wall and not actually of me! I think it turned out pretty cool!

Day 55- American/Texas Pride!!

It was such a beautiful day today and these flags really looked great against the blue sky. The top one, for those of you who don't know, is the American flag. Day 54- The back is just as cute!

Jiggs likes to be on the lookout when we are outside. I thought why not do a back of the head shot! I think he looks just as cute from the back as from the front! Then again, I'm a little bias!!!

Day 53- Awesome Sunset

I was super close to missing this awesome sunset last night!!! I got up to close the blinds and saw this!!! The top picture was taken first and the bottom one was taken about a minute later. I just stood there and kept shooting until all the red was gone!! It was even more amazing in real life!

Day 52- Orangutan

This is one of the female orangutan's at the zoo. She is around 25 years old and has a five year old. This was her taking a break while daddy was attending to the youngster. I hope to get a pic of the baby soon..he is super cute!

Day 51- Cheetah's

Here is a picture of a couple of cheetah's. These guys thought I had some food and kept watching me. This girl in front even tried to sniff my camera! It's interesting that they have them in with some African Shepherd Dogs. The reason is to show that in Africa instead of killing the cheetah's the farmers are getting these dogs to keep them away from their livestock. The dogs are domesticated and seem to get along well with the cheetah's.

Day 50- Jonathan's mate

This is Jonathan's mate. I really don't much about her. I don't even know her name. All I know is that when I was walking up to them she was stalking me and I'm sure she was thinking what a good meal I'd make! LOL!! I only took one picture of her because she made me feel uneasy! LOL!

Day 49- Jonathan

This is Jonathan. He lives at the Houston Zoo and use to be someones pet. I got a picture of him this morning before the zoo opened. He was just relaxing waiting for breakfast!

Day 48- Blooming Christmas Cactus!!!!

It finally bloomed after all these years!!! Whoo-hoo!!! I'm guessing maybe it's an Easter Cactus and not a Christmas Cactus. I moved it to a sunny window and before I knew it there was a bloom!!!!I'm so excited!

Day 47- Jiggs eye

I decided to share a picture with you that we have framed in our living room.

This is a picture I took of my dogs eye right when we got the new camera. We liked it so much that we decided to blow it up to 8x10 and frame it. It sits on top of our desk in the living room. We have had so many questions and comments about it that I wanted to share it with you all!

Day 46- Lizard

This is a little lizard I saw on my porch today. We have these all over the place. I'm not sure what they are called but they do change colors to match their background. They must be some sort of chameleon.

Day 45- Serenity of the beach

This was a picture I took while at the beach about a month ago. I really loved how it turned out. It is such a peaceful and relaxing picture.

Day 44- Dragonfly

This is a picture of a dragonfly that was in my garden last summer. I zoomed in on him and think he is so cool looking. He was really pretty and red! I had never seen a red one before!
