This is a pine cone that fell from my pine tree. There are always a lot of them this time of year. The squirrels like to eat them and I often find just the cores left lying around the yard. I use to collect them but I have so many now that I don't save them anymore. They usually stay in the yard until we mow, then I toss them in the trash.

I used to collect them too and add them in baskets and make wreaths. Now I just let them fall where they may!
Another neat photo Christie. Its too cold for me to go outside here. LOL
